JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated PRN Physical Therapist to join our team on an as-needed basis. This position is ideal for clinicians with a strong interest in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, and who value autonomy, flexibility, and evidence-based care. This role provides excellent exposure to strength-focused rehab and manual therapy in a highly collaborative environment.
PRN positions at Jay West Physical Therapy are designed with flexibility in mind, with potential to grow into a part-time or full-time benefited position depending on clinic needs and candidate goals.
COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE
Pay Range: $55–$65/hour, commensurate with experience and credentials
Schedule: As-needed availability during clinic hours (Monday–Saturday, AM or PM shifts)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide one-on-one patient care in a private practice outpatient orthopedic setting
Execute individualized treatment plans using a combination of manual therapy, strength and conditioning, and patient education
Collaborate with supervising PTs and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
Participate in occasional media or marketing efforts to highlight your expertise (e.g., bio, specialty focus)
Optionally participate in mentorship of PT students or PTA staff if assigned
FUNCTIONS
The applicant must be able to perform the physical requirements as listed, including:
Lift and carry up to 50lbs from floor to waist
Jog, squat, hinge, lunge, push, pull, and perform all movements required to demonstrate therapeutic exercises
Stand or sit unassisted for up to 1 hour
REQUIREMENTS
Active California Physical Therapy License required
Minimum 1 year of outpatient ortho experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical interest are welcome to apply
Strong manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and strength training background
CPR certification (preferred)
OCS, SCS, or FAAOMPT credentialing (preferred but not required)
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
